Hugo’s tucked away at the centre of Tsim Sha Tsui is a sanctuary hidden amongst Hong Kong’s busy streets.  As you ascend to the Hyatt’s 3rd Floor you do not expect to find this slice of Europe.  The ambiance is quiet, rustic, and romantic.  Much of the decor is reminiscent of the French countryside, and preserved from their first location in Hong Kong.  The menu is vast with plenty of European classics, monthly specials, and very impressive table side cooking.  I recommend the made to order beef tartare  prepared table side, and the creamy lobster bisque which is also served on one of their many trolleys.  As for main courses they are famous for their beef and you can choose from US, France, Ireland or Japan.  I went for the US tenderloin, one of my favourite cuts and it did not disappoint.  For dessert I highly recommend the crepes suzette, especially if you love a show during preparation and I can never resist a cheese trolley.  Hugo’s is the perfect spot for celebratory dinners or a quiet date.  With large cove tables, rustic wooden details, and quiet live music, you feel you have been transported to the luxurious European countryside.
