PARENTS NIGHT OUT AT BLOOM
We have recently become new parents to a cute baby girl, which of course means long nights and very busy days. We’ve been lucky enough to meet a few great couples who are going through the same experience in this busy city so were very excited when Bloom asked us to invite a few of our favourite parents as they wanted to treat us to a fun night out. It all started with a cocktail mixing session and ended with plenty of food and wine.
We loved sampling the unique cocktails Bloom had on offer, which are also served in their chic bar, Lily, located on the floor above. Favourite of the night included the Snickers Old Fashioned, which was contsructed from chocolate infused Bourbon. After a few drinks we moved to the dining area and decided to order a selection from the menu and share family style. The round table is perfect for a big group of friends and catered towards lots of conversation and food sharing. To start we highly recommend their fresh and delicious Oysters, sweet Uni Toast, creamy Roasted Bone Marrow, and perfectly prepared Cedar River Steak Tartare. For the mains we loved their indulgent Dry Aged Bloomberg-er made with a Wagyu beef patty, the Roasted Iberico Pork Chop with braised red wine cabbage and the Slow Cooked Pork Belly with green rice. We also couldn’t resist the Australian M5 Wagyu Porterhouse on the specials board which was a favourite for everyone. For lighter options their melt in your mouth Carrot-Miso Black Cod and Beetroot Salad side were also delicious options.  Although everyone was ridiculously stuffed we managed to squeeze a little extra space for their tempting desserts and could not get enough of the indulgent Pear Tarte-Tatin with Candied Macadamia Nuts and Vanilla Pistachio Ice Cream. Definitely a great spot to unwind and share a fun night with friends. Can’t wait to return for more fun drinks and mouthwatering dishes.
