Akrame has already won Michelin star acclaim in it’s home in France and has made it’s way onto HK’s popular Ship Street to treat us with Chef Benallal’s superior culinary skills. The restaurant hosts a discreet entrance that keeps the space quiet and exclusive. The decor is minimal and chic, perfect for fine dining. We went for the Gourmet Tasting Menu which includes six mouthwatering and innovative courses (plus a lot of extra courses). Highlights include the smokey and flavourful lobster and smoked beef, a perfectly cooked snapper served alongside a selection of mouthwatering lemon thyme puree and yogurt, and the juicy and tender pigeon highlighted with avocado and walnut. The desserts could have been a meal themselves with a rich and satisfying milky goats cheese plate and the unique pineapple coated in charcoal. We loved the artful and delicious food, impeccable service, and sophisticated dining experience. The perfect place if you are looking to impress you dining companion.
