Oyster lovers can rejoice as a new, trendy oyster bar has just popped up in Soho. The Walrus is the second establishment brought to us by the founders of the innovative bar, The Woods. The cozy, nautical themed oyster bar serves up a great selection of fresh oysters with unique sauces, toppings, and cooking styles. We highly recommend the freshly shucked oysters on the half shell and sampling a variety of the mouthwatering accouterments. For a play on textures and flavours make sure to sample their signature raw platter which includes styles such as the fragrant “Lady Gaga” with pickle brine jello, seaweed and chive flower, and the indulgent “That 70’s Shell” with Ume Plum Caviar, Roe & Pansy. They also have a delicious signature hot platter which includes the “U.N.I” with uni paste and string chilli, and the “Hale Caesar” with Caesar sauce, croutons, lettuce and Parmesan. The Walrus also serve a variety of bar snacks including their Walrus Po’boy and the morish crab snacks which go great with a cold beer or their refreshing MLB bottled cocktails. Don’t forget to save room for dessert and share a bite of the chocolate oyster incorporating a completely chocolate made shell. A great, lively spot for snacking and dining with friends over fun drinks and fresh and innovative seafood and oyster styles.
