Zuma is one of Hong Kong’s most popular spots for Japanese dining and is set in a trendy, chic and spacious environment. We love their menu offering everything from fresh sushi and sashimi to perfectly grilled meats and fish, and refreshing salads. We recommend starting with an assortment of their snacks and cold dishes such as the Steamed Spinach with Sesame Sauce, the Crispy Fried Squid with Green Chili and Lime, and the Thinly Sliced Sea Bass with Yuzu, Truffle Oil and Salmon Roe, and then continuing with their fresh and impressive seasonal platter of sashimi which is flown in daily from Japan. Favourite mains included their melt in your mouth Grilled Chilean Sea Bass with Green Chili and Ginger Dressing, and the fall off the bone, tender and juicy Beef Short Rib with Miso, Spiced Peanuts and Lime, which is a new addition to the menu. Make sure to save room for dessert as their Dessert Platter by Pastry Chef Eddie Lee is a feast for both your eyes and taste buds. We loved the traditional Japanese fare with a distinct modern twist that runs throughout Zuma’s menu. Make sure to pair your meal with something from their extensive sakelist or an innovative cocktail from their popular signatures, the Smoked Japanese Whisky Sour being our favourite.
