WHISK, The Mira’s contemporary Western dining restaurant, has revamped it’s menu to focus on simple, fresh, and seasonal cuisine, and while the dishes still show creativity we have been introduced to a more hearty, comforting, and relaxed array of choices featuring recipes you’ll crave again and again. We loved starting the meal with their Hand Chopped Beef Tartare which was full of authentic French attributes and created from the highest quality, hormone free, Australian Black Angus Beef, and their Poached Eggs with Salmon Caviar, Green Asparagus & Black Truffle Bearnaise was a perfect light treat. For middle courses we highly recommend their Thermidor Cocotte Prawns filled with an irresistibly indulgent sauce, which we finished every last drop of, and their perfectly seared Foie Gras with Caramelised Diced Apple, Chips of Serrano Ham and a Sherry Veal Jus. For main courses their fresh and fragrant Signature Tagliolini with Canadian Lobster, Tomato and Tarragon is a must order and we loved the melt in your mouth Roasted Orange & Miso Black Cod with Zucchini Spaghetti Fondue and Miso Citrus Sauce. Save room for their tempting dessert menu with plenty of innovative twists on classic favourites. We opted for their fruity and tart “WHISK’s Mess”, a twist on the British Strawberry Mess using Seasonal Strawberries, Meringue, Vanilla from Madagascar, Fresh Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream, which was a perfect end to our meal. We look forward to returning to WHISK soon and trying their new Steak and Burgundy Evenings Menu which is available on Mondays Thursdays for HK$1,888 for 4 guests with 2 bottles of wine, or HK$998 for 2 guests with a bottle of wine.
