Whisk has welcomed Celebrity Guest Chef Ben O’Donoghue from Australia’s Billykart to create a special menu available for dinner from now until 14 May. Chef O’Donoghue has brought his signature laid back style and use of fresh produce to the menu creating a refreshing taste of Queensland perfect for HK’s warm Spring days. The choices for starters include a light and tasty Kombu Cured Hervey Bay Scallop with a Raw Salad of Squash and Creme Fraiche, delicate King Fish Numus with Pickled Cucumber, Fennel and Shallot, and sweet Fraser Island Spanner Crab with Crab Tapioca Crisp, Coconut, Pomelo and Wasabi. For main courses we highly recommend the perfectly prepared and meaty Coral Trout cooked in Acqua Pazza, and loved the rich and savoury Caramelised Miso Cured Kangaroo with Avocado Puree and Vegetable and crisp, and the indulgent Australian Rump Cap with Burnt Onion Puree, Charred Mustard Greens and Green Tea Bearnaisie Pangrasato. The fresh flavours and high quality produce were evident in every bite and each dish was accented fragrant seasoning. A few of the dishes (including the Hervey Bay Scallops as starter and the Pork Belly as main) are available as options on WHISK’s set lunch menu until 14 May. A must try while the menu is still available.
