Skip the observation deck and head straight to the 102nd floor of The Ritz-Carlton instead, from July onwards they are serving up some of the best beef cuts from around the world. A dining experience with a clear view of Hong Kong island is nothing short of marvelous.

We were spoilt for choice when offered 5 different premium cuts of beef, from a US Black Angus ‘Reserve’ T-Bone Steak to Argentinian Beef Tenderloin, Scottish Aberdeenshire Striploin, Australian Tasmania Natural Rib Eye and finally Bone-in French Charolais Rib Eye. Handpicked from the best meat producing countries around the world, after much deliberation we opted for the Argentinian Tenderloin and the Australian Rib Eye.

To follow are a selection of free flow sides, each of them cooked in a home-style manner and an ideal compliment to our mains. We dug into all the these dishes as eagerly as the meats; fresh and crunchy Ceasar salad topped with anchovies, creamy spinach, extremely moorish rosemary garlic fires, roasted Portobello mushrooms, grilled veggies, a buttery bowl of mac & cheese and finally fresh baby tomatoes doused in balsamic.

We particularly enjoyed the Argentinian cut, whilst both were extremely juicy, this tenderloin was beautifully soft and packed with flavour. Part of the fun is mix and matching the beef with different sauces and being able to gage what you love best. A selection of Café de Paris butter, Béarnaise, Black pepper, Chimichurri and Red wine sauce are ready for your indulgence. We cleared the pot of Chimichurri sauce for its crisp taste and bite of spice, a definitive favourite of the night whilst the black pepper sauce is a classic comfort with meats.

You can enjoy this latest promotion for $480 per person, which includes one type of beef and unlimited sides, or better yet grab a gang of friends for their $1480 for four types of beef plus unlimited sides (except T-Bone) and really get a feel for your taste buds! Over the course of the year the Ritz will be refining their beefy menu to reflect your favorites and even bring in new cuts to taste.
