Black Ginger at The Slate Phuket offers Thai fine dining in a beautiful venue and in a very unique location. We loved the narrow passageway which led to a romantically lit raft that drifts lightly to Black Ginger’s stylish and chic floating restaurant. The glass walled dining room offers a view of the lush, green surroundings and the intimate ambiance creates for a truly romantic and memorable meal. Their menu is full of Thai favourites all served in an elevated manner using fragrant and fresh produce alongside impressive presentation. We highly recommend the fun and interactive Black Ginger’s Special Create Your Own Rice Paper Rolls, the flavourful and traditional “Gian Tod” Phuket Crunchy Sausage made with Pork, Shrimps, Crab Meat, Spring Onion and Jicama, the indulgent and mouthwatering “Gaeng Poo Bai Cha Ploo” Curry with Lump Crab Meat and traditional Rice Noodles, and the crisp and fresh “Pla Gao Thod” Fried Whole Grouper served with Tangy Chili Sauce. Black Ginger’s Signature dessert of Tender Dumplings served in a Creamy Coconut Milk and Young Coconut Meat was an ideal light and sweet end to our magical meal. A must try while visiting Phuket and one of our favouite meals during our time on the island.
