Kishoku is one our favourite Omakase destinations in HK and Executive Chef Milton Leung has outdone himself with his latest “7 Steps to Omakase Heaven” menu. Introducing new flavours and recipes alongside well loved traditional elements, we couldn’t get enough of the decadent dining experience, a true culinary journey for those who love Japanese fare. Our dinner began with an assortment of delectable appetizers to whet the appetite before being treated to sweet Live Spiny Lobster Sashimi with Golden Roe from the coastlines of Ise-Shima in Japan, and Hand-Sliced Paper-Thin Abalone Sashimi featuring three textures. This was followed by delicate Applewood Smoked Akamatsu and refreshing Buri Carpaccio served with Italian Aged Balsamic & Olive Oil and Diced Japanese Garlic. The Fifth Step, The Toro Flight, was a definite highlight of the menu featuring five most loved parts of fatty tuna, each piece becoming more buttery and flavourful. The sixth step was a perfectly grilled whole Kinky Fish with moist and juicy meat and delightfully crispy skin. The final step featured mouthwatering classic sushi options including an uni lover’s dream “The Double Scoop Uni Sundae”, delicate Sanma Sushi, buttery Kumamoto Beef Wagyu Sushi and unique and creamy Otoro Tendon Sushi and the menu ends perfectly with a refreshing medley of Japanese fruit. We highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar to gain the full experience and make sure to pair with sake to complete the mouthwatering evening. We highly recommend Kishoku for those who crave Japanese fine dining and we thoroughly enjoyed every step to Omakase heaven.
