We stayed in the Suite Familiar which featured connecting bedrooms and a beautiful balcony with city views. We slept peacefully each night in the quiet and secluded ambiance but loved being just a few minutes walk to all the famous sights of the city. Our day started with a fresh home cooked breakfast, unforgettable pancakes, and fresh coca tea prepared by the friendly and welcoming staff.
El Balcon is perfectly located for exploring all Cusco has to offer. Within minutes we found ourselves at the heart of Plaza de Armas, surrounded by historic architecture, a variety of alluring cafes and eateries, and local women traversing the streets with their sweet pet lambs and alpacas. We loved winding through the narrow cobblestone streets finding artisanal market stalls, sampling local fare at the San Pedro Mercado, and meeting friendly people along the way. Cusco is definitely a foodie destination and we found everything from hole in the wall local eats to stylish restaurants and cozy cafes.
