MIMARU is an ideal affordable option for families visiting Tokyo. The sleek and modern hotel boasts large family friendly suites perfect for those travelling with children or in groups. We stayed at their Tokyo Station East location and easily walked to the hotel from the station after arriving from Narita. Check in was smooth and easy and there was a plethora of amenities for all guests including pyjamas, slippers, coffee, tea and toiletries.

We were pleasantly surprised when entering the spacious suite complete with two bedrooms, a separate lounge and dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. We loved the projector screen which was set up and ready for Netflix, YouTube and so much more, and the bathroom had a deep bathtub great for little ones. The children’s bedroom had a bunk bed which made them feel right at home and the suite comfortably slept six people which is very rare at the centre of Tokyo.

At the ground level we found a 7-Eleven great for picking up snacks and breakfasts throughout our stay. We also made full use of the laundry facilities available for hotel guests and the welcoming 2nd floor social space where we could meet friends and indulge in takeout food.

MIMARU Tokyo Station East is optimally located to explore the city. You’re within easy walking distance to the subway and an array of eateries and shops. We loved trying the local yakitori spots right across the street from the hotel and found many delicious bakeries and sushi joints around the corner. Highly recommended for families traveling with children craving space, modern comfort, and amazing service at the heart of Tokyo.
