Californian style Mexican food is one of those guilty pleasures I am always craving. After a road trip through California, I can say I have consumed my fair share of burritos, quesadillas and tacos and have grown to be particular when it comes to freshness and flavour. Cali-Mex, which has opened branches in Wan Chai, Central and Quarry Bay, serves up delicious Mexican fare, comprised of the freshest ingredients and produce. We loved the Baja Fish Soft Shell Tacos containing creamy guacamole, fresh chunks of fish, and tons of spicy flavour. Other favourites off the menu include the indulgent Chipotle Pulled Pork Quesadilla paired with refreshing salsa, the Barbacoa Beef Burrito which was filled with a generous portion of tender spiced beef, and their healthy Venice Beach Vegan Crispy Shell Saladas. We loved that everything is freshly made to order and quality is never compromised with chicken and beef imported from Australia, fish and seafood flown straight from New Zealand and their pork coming from the USA. Choose your how spicy you want your food from a scale of 1 to 3. I would recommend 3 for that extra spicy kick. If you are looking for Californian style Mexican fare and value the use of premium fresh ingredients and great flavour this is the perfect place.
