Akikan Robatayaki, located on the 27th & 28th floors of the Cubus building in Causeway Bay, is a luxurious and stylish dining venue serving high end Japanese fare. You are instantly drawn to the large surrounding floor to ceiling windows illuminating the chic restaurant with HK’s city skyline. We loved the ambient dark wood paneling and welcoming leather booths, perfect for a romantic date night. The menu is comprised of an extensive list of Robata specialities including juicy Wagyu Beef and Sweet Snapper, each cooked to order behind the engaging 16 person bar over a hot charcoal grill. Aside from the mouthwatering robatayaki we were delighted to discover their amazingly fresh sushi and sashimi. Fresh fish is flown in daily and Executive Chef Kenji Sugihara, formerly of Sushi Hiro, emphasizes the importance of time and effort when preparing his vibrant and decadent sushi and sashimi dishes.
