Jumeirah Vittaveli is a stunning beach paradise located only 20 minutes from the capital Male. After a short cruise on their luxury catamaran we arrived at a welcoming and inspired five star resort situated on a white sand adorned Maldivian island. We loved the rustic meets modern design and attentive service throughout the resort. Our water villa, sat above the sparkling clear waters, was spacious and luxurious with a gigantic bed facing the ocean, decadent bathtub featuring wraparound windows, elegant lounge area with a glass bottom window, a huge sundeck alongside a refreshing plunge pool and steps straight into the ocean. Vittaveli has no shortage of activities and we highly recommend their romantic sunset cruise where you might be lucky enough to spot dolphins. There are also plenty of adventurous water sports, a submarine for gazing at the abundant house reef without having to get wet, and snorkeling instructors to help you navigate and explore all the rich and diverse marine life. If you are looking for relaxation visit their spa for tranquil treatments with fragrant coconut oil made fresh on the island. There are numerous mouthwatering dining options with the ambient and tropical MU Beach Bar & Grill perfect for fresh fish and grilled meats, relaxed all day dining at Samsara, and indulgent, delicious French feasts at Fenesse. Make sure to engage in an authentic Indian cooking class with their talented chef at Swarna, admire the fragrant traditional tandoori oven, and devour the mouthwatering result in their beautiful outdoor restaurant setting. Sample their healthy breakfast options in your villa and dine on your private deck before hitting up the well equipped gym or taking a leisurely bike ride around the beautiful island. We loved that Vittaveli offered so many activities and facilities on the islands, ensuring we always found ourselves occupied. A great option for families and groups of friends as well as couples looking for a fun and relaxing escape.
