San Xi Lou, one of our favourite Sichuan and Hot Pot restaurants in Hong Kong, is celebrating their 10th Anniversary by opening their sister restaurant in the city’s lively Times Square. We’ve always thoroughly enjoyed San Xi Lou’s authentic fare so we couldn’t wait to check out the new location. We loved starting our meal with their fiery and flavourful Marinated Cold Shredded Chicken with Peanut in Spicy Sauce, and the juicy Minced Pork Dumplings with Spicy Pumpkin Soup are a must order. For main courses we highly recommend their bubbling, chili filled Sichuan Style Stewed Catfish, and the fresh and delicate Braised King Prawns with Chinese Cabbage if you’re looking for something to balance other spicy dishes. Make sure to finish your meal with the light and refreshing Mountain Spring Water Tofu Pudding which is served tableside with a sprinkling of sugar. Everything comes family style and is ideal for large groups and family dining. A must dine spot if you love Sichuan and spicy food as much as we do.
