Mama Malouf has reopened its doors after a rebrand and redesign, presenting a vibrant and lively dining destination for those who love Lebanese fare. Inspired by his mother, Alex Malouf has brought a taste of his upbringing to HK, serving traditional and modern takes on his mother’s homemade recipes. We loved the intimate and welcoming Kennedy Town restaurant and couldn’t get enough of the mouthwatering menu. With plenty of healthy and indulgent options, the dishes are great for sharing with your date or friends. Favourites of the night included the creamy Burrata with Baked Eggplant and Heirloom Tomatoes, the fragrant and addictive Cumin Fried Whitebait with Pomegranate Mayo, the delicate Octopus Skewers with Green Chermoula, the rich and flavourful Chicken Livers with Feta Mayo and Pickled Chili, and the mouthwatering Lamb Shoulder with Farro, Pumpkin and Mint Labne. The mixture of aromatic flavours from Lebanon and refreshing textures made each dish irresistible and we loved the quality of every ingredient used. Make sure to pair your meal with a bottle of wine and be prepared for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. A must visit neighbourhood spot when you are craving middle eastern flavours in HK.
