A Hong Kong institution, the place to be when enjoying your favourite sporting event, with an enormous cider and beer selection, Dicken’s Bar embodies all the neccessities of a great British Pub. But since their recent renovation and menu revamp they are now also a place for gastronomic pub fare in a modern, chic venue. The classic dishes offer typical British fare with a slight gourmet twist. I recommend the Texas style back spare rib, which is actually a portion fit for far more than one and the signature all day breakfast,”The Pan,” has hangover cure written all over it. For Brits who are homesick for fish and chips, Dicken’s Bars’ version is one of my favourites and if you love Indian food, do not miss their curry lunch buffet available Mon-Fri at an affordable $198. Their in house Indian chef creates authentic fresh curries, tandoori, and naan on a rotational menu, and dessert and salad is included. I am looking forward to returning the next time I am craving my favourite British food.
