Hidden in a Sheung Wan basement, you would never expect to find such a delicious and authentic Italian trattoria.  Doppio Zero is one of those spots that adds to Sheung Wan’s cool factor and is putting the area as a must dine destination.  The setting is quiet and intimate, with seating at the back which would suit a delicious romantic date.  Their menu is concise and shows off the chef’s amazing skills.  I highly recommend the fried prosciutto balls which is a fusion of familiar flavours served in a unique style.  If you love pasta you must try their selection, offering the ideal texture and complimenting ingredients.  Sea Urchin has always been a favourite of mine and the Chitarra was one of the highlights of the night managing to meet my very high expectations.  The chocolate infused pasta with black truffle shavings was a mouthwatering experience of its own and you cannot miss their USDA Prime Rib Eye served with bone marrow. The ideal spot for long, drunken dinners with a fun group of friends or a romantic weeknight date.  Definitely one  of my favourite spots in the city.

Inspired to give guests the opportunity to indulge in a
daily selection of boutique red and white wines, Doppio Zero has unveiled a three flight sampler featuring hidden gems from Italy’s premiere wine regions, accompanied by light fare from Chef Jake Addeo. The Vino Trio, which features a dynamic spread of unique wines from highly regarded Italian vineyards, gives guests the chance to select from amongst choice labels for a generous sampler of three glasses paired with bite sized gourmet snacks. Available daily from 6pm, the Vino Trio is priced at $160 and can be enjoyed either at the bar or the communal ‘trattoria’ table. The daily Vino Trio, which allows guests to choose from three reds, three whites, or a combination of the two, is about discovery and will appeal to the wine novice and connoisseur alike.
