COCKTAILS AT FINDS

Nordic food is not something that is available in abundance, especially in Hong Kong, so we were excited to sample chef Jaakko Sorsa’s delicious creations at the ultra cool Luxe Manor Hotel.  FINDS has the perfect menu incorporating plenty of fresh seafood, comforting home recipes, and Scandinavian traditional favourites.  I highly recommend trying the Salmon Six Ways featuring six ways to preserve the fish.  Each one unique and mouthwatering giving you a tasting experience of it’s own.  The Nordic Seafood Platter was another of our favourites.  I was very impressed by the insanely fresh seafood and delicious combination of flavours. Grandmother Ida’s Meatballs, Chef Jaakko’s grandmother’s recipe, were unforgettable and far different from the Ikea variety.  We usually prefer beef over lamb, but the lean cuts used in the spring lamb tenderloin worked perfectly in the dish and kept me going back for more.  Don’t forget to save room for dessert, as the ‘Daim” parfait is unmissable.  Despite our full appetites we couldn’t help but demolish the entire tasting platter.  Chef Jaakko’s menu is not only delicious and fresh but very healthy.  It was evident that all the ingredients used were top quality and there wasn’t a single trace of over used sauce or oil.  One of Hungry Hong Kong’s favourite spots.  We will definitely be returning soon for the decadent seafood platter and to fulfill our now constant meatball craving.
