MARGRET DE CANARD POELE, POLENTA & SAUCE A L’ORANGE
DUCK MAGRET WITH POLENTA AND ORANGE SAUCE
Sai Ying Pun was the last place I would imagine an authentic French spot to be hidden, but Metropolitan proved that in the cutest of Hong Kong neighborhoods you can find a bistro that will keep you coming back for more. We were instantly drawn to the outdoor space at the front of the venue, appropriately used for sipping wine for hours with friends. Inside is a petite but nostalgic restaurant imitating a perfect Parisian vibe. Taking inspiration from Paris’ Metro, you will see hints of one of our favourite cities throughout the inviting space. We were blown away by the salmon and steak tartares and the Magret de Canard was one of the best I have sampled in Hong Kong. If you are an escargot fan definitely don’t miss theirw which is a perfect starter to share alongside a fresh Salad Nicoise or cannelloni d’aubergine. A French meal never feels complete without cheese, and their variety paired deliciously with a glass of wine. I can’t wait to return and spend lazy weekends with a few bottles of rose and mouthwatering French cuisine.
