You can probably recognize Butao Ramen by the long line of hopeful patrons patiently waiting at it’s Wellington Street doorstep. We visited on a quiet Wednesday morning, and arrived just as they opened the front doors to beat the crowds and sample a bowl of the famous noodles and soup. They offer a simple menu where you can choose your strength of soup, noodle texture, and toppings. They also offer a limited edition ramen that changes from time to time, so we went for one original and one special. Both featured exceptional, delicious broth and perfectly prepared pork belly. As the other customers started ordering, we noticed an abundance of regulars adding an extra portion of pork to their noodles. This is very highly recommended as it’s definitely where Butao excels. The perfect spot for a satisfying lunch and must visit for ramen aficionados looking for the Japanese experience.
