A Japanese ramen import, Ichiran has been infamous for it’s ridiculously long lines and delicious spicy sauce since it’s arrival in HK. A plain and simple approach, Ichiran serves only the classic Tonkatsu Ramen in personal cubicles on a long bar. We arrived before noon to beat the lunch rush and were happy to only wait 10 minutes to be seated. The menu gives ordering options based on noodle texture and level of spice, which is always important to any ramen lover like myself. The fresh broth teamed perfectly with their signature sauce and made for a satisfying meal. The best part is they are open 24 hours a day, so perfect for those late night hunger spells. A great spot if you are dining alone and don’t like HK’s usual style of seating, as many strangers as possible on one table.
