Chom Chom, set in busy Soho, is one of our favourite spots to enjoy fresh Vietnamese food in a cool and lively setting. We recently went to check out their Hanoi happy hour special on a sticky hot HK afternoon and ended up staying well into the dinner hours. Wednesdays-Sundays from 4-6:30pm Chef Peter Cuong Franklin makes a limited quantity of his delicious Banh Mi Sandwiches which pair perfectly with their ice-cold Saigon Beer. We loved the flavourful meat and crisp veggies served on a French baguette. At only $68 HKD including the beer, it is an ideal afternoon treat. Other highlights during the happy hour include 1/2 price bottles of house wine (HK$189) and 8-piece buckets of their delicious VFC “Vietnamese Fried Chicken” at HK$88. We couldn’t resist trying the new items off the menu while we were there and especially loved the Crispy Frog Legs, the healthy and delicious Wok-Fried US Kale Salad, and the delicious Caramel Black Cod. A perfect menu for hot summer afternoons and cold cocktails and beers. A new favourite venue for after work drinks.
