We were very excited to visit Double-Six again and check out their new restaurant, The Plantation Grill. The Plantation Grill, taking up two floors features grand, stunning decor, impeccable service, and a decadently delicious menu. We instantly fell in love with the high ceilings, cozy booth seating, and beautiful floor to ceiling windows perfect for sunset gazing. The menu is full of impressive dishes ideal for date nights and celebratory meals, or just a relaxing way to unwind after a day by the pool. We highly recommend the indulgently mouthwatering “A Jar of Salmon Caviar Roe on Ice” served with creme fraiache, young purple basil, water spinach blinis, wasabi, lemon & lime, the table side prepared Raw Steak Tartare with 64 degree free range organic egg yolk, chives, Dijon mustard, pickled Shimeji mushrooms and capers, and the fresh and flavourful Slipper Lobster Roll with French buttered sous-vide lobster, fine cut coleslaw, coriander, wild green salad and toasted brioche bun. For out main courses we loved the juicy, melt in your mouth Beef Tenderloin Fillet with “Basil” Salsa Verde and Balsamic, and the flavourful Half Spit Roasted Duck with Paris Mash Potatoes, steamed wild purple spinach, peas, pancetta and Shitake mushrooms. Every dish was prepared to perfection, with exquisite flavours and flair. Their attention to detail with every aspect from food, service, and ambiance made it one of our favourite meals while visiting Bali. Make sure to check out their speakeasy Sling Bar located just above the dining room, for a delicious night cap and unqiue bar experience. A modern and luxurious one of a kind spot.
