Grand Imperial Court at MGM Macau has brought a new decadent dining experience to the discerning diner. Teaming up with world renowned Hua Yang Cuisine chefs and serving a menu which required 10 years of research resulted in a decadent dining experience inspired by the historical and famous novel, Dream of the Red Mansion. Published in the 18th Century, Dreams of the Red Mansion is a fusion of Manchu and Han cultures with a third of it’s pages focused on the great art of their exquisite cuisine.  Huai Yang Cuisine’s chefs have used their immaculate skill and research to not only serve a decadent feast but tell a story through this unique dining experience.

The banquet was not only a feast for our taste buds but also one for our eyes, with some dishes that were for display only showing the beauty and skill of the chef’s creations. We loved the variety of appetizers offered with a vast array of flavours including fresh fruits, and traditional savoury and sweet small dishes. Highlights of the night included the fragrant steamed dumplings, the delicate baked puff pastry with turnip, the refreshing Sauteed Shrimps with Egg, Carrot and Spring Onion, the flavourful Double Boiled Pork Belly Meatball with Crab Roe, the flavourful and perfectly prepared Grilled Catfish with Cucumber and Orange Yang Zhou Style, and the Braised Soft Shell Turtle with Sea Bass in Supreme Buillion. Each dish utilized fresh ingredients and flavours while showing off great skill and execution. This is a can’t miss dining experience if you want authentic Chinese cuisine steeped with history and storytelling. Perfect for impressing clients or with a group of family and friend for an unforgettable experience.
