Shilin Night Market is one of the biggest and busiest in Taipei serving up mouthwatering local delicacies, fun shopping stalls, and a bustling crowd with a great atmosphere. We loved the lively area and found ourselves always getting lost in the many paths to find mouthwatering food and drinks. Favourites include Taiwan’s famous oyster omellete from Zhong Hao Oyster Omelette Restaurant, the juicy and flavourful Taiwanese sausages, the sweet and tangy Candied Tomatoes, the unique “Frog Eggs” drink, the giant Hot Star Fried Chicken, and the morish Squid on skewers. Make sure to take your time and wander through the many stalls, including the busy basement Food Court area serving up an abundance of seafood at seated makeshift restaurants. A must visit during your trip to Taipei.
