The Optimist, boasting lush bohemian decor and a mouthwatering menu, is now serving a family friendly Spanish-style weekend brunch. Served upstairs in their relaxed and welcoming dining room the brunch offers an impressive appetizer selection with high quality cold cuts, cheese, tapas, and a variety of fresh salads. We loved their sharing starters, served at the table, which included crunchy Iberian Ham Croquettes, refreshing “Ensalada de Pulpa” with Octopus, Chickpeas, Edamame and Potato, and indulgent Broken Eggs “Huevos Rotos” with Iberian Ham, Chorizo, Potato and Eggs. The made to order main course was another highlight of the brunch and we couldn’t resist the juicy and tender Chateaubriand with Potato Gratin which was cooked to perfection. There were also vegetarian options, Seafood Rice, Charcoal Chicken and a Whole Seabass for 2 to choose from. Leave room for the chef’s dessert selection and make sure to pair your brunch with either a few cocktails or go for their free flow option of Prosecco and wines. They also offer a kids menu so there’s something for the whole family. A great way to spend a fun weekend afternoon in the city.
