The Drunken Pot has reinvented the traditional winter speciality and transformed regular hotpot to a trendy and modern dining experience. We have always been big fans of hotpot here at Hungry Hong Kong so were very excited to sample The Drunken Pot’s innovative soup bases and decadent hotpot fare. The venue is lively and chic, great for a night out with friends and we suggest sampling some of their creative and tasty cocktails such as the excellent “Beggar So, The Brilliant Begger” which was our favourite of the night. For the soup base we highly recommend their Signature Pot with a combination of Whole Papaya in Soup, Boston Lobster with Tomato, Beef Brisket in Clean Pot, Sichuan Style Numbingly Spicy Soup and Teochew Style Satay and think it’s the best option if you want a good variety of their fresh and flavourful bases. Hotpot isn’t complete without beef and we loved both the flavour and display of their Premium Sliced Angus Beef Chuck. Other favourites included the indulgent Black Truffle, Shrimp and Crab Meat Dumplings, cute and unique Happy Penguin Cuttlefish Balls, fragrant Assorted Fortune Bags, and juicy Kurobuta Slices of Roses Platter. They also have great appetizers such as the delicious Beef Cubes with Wasabi and an extensive menu of jet fresh sashimi. A must try spot for hotpot lovers, and those who are trying it for the first time.
