PLAGA SAUVIGNON BLANC
During our last trip to Bali we decided to sample more of the local wine scene. As imported brands can carry a very hefty price tag, we wanted to experiment with Indonesian wineries and see how it matched up with all the amazing food available on the island. Plaga is a modern and chic brand which offers a variety of wines from a light and crisp Sauvignon Blanc to an aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon. Their grapes are imported from famous wine regions of Chile, Australia, and Europe but the wine is produced in Indonesia. We loved the fruity and refreshing Rose paired with local mie goreng or a hearty plate of ribs, and their light Sauvignon Blanc was ideal with Bali’s spicy flavours as well as fresh seafood. Their deep Cabernet Suavignon matched perfectly with a bowl of hearty Beef Rendang and the fragrant sambals and chilis served with much of Bali’s grilled meats and fish.
