JA Manafaru has appointed Chef Peter Hui as their new speciality chef in charge of White Orchid Restaurant. Haling from Chengdu, Chef Peter has added a Chengdu Hot Pot to the restaurant’s menu for all of you who, like us, still crave fiery Sichuan flavours while on holiday. Chef Peter has personally selected the ingredients from Chengdu to ensure complete authenticity. We each had our own personal hot pots brimming with fragrant broths which were accompanied with tender, traditionally marinated beef, fresh vegetables, baby octopus, squid, tofu and condiments. We loved the delicious, authentic flavours which were a true welcome treat that we did not expect while visiting the Maldives. Chef Peter told us he will also be making authentic Sichuan dishes a regular on the menu so you’ll even more of Chengdu to taste when visiting JA Manafaru. A great addition to the menu.
