The Flying Elk has been brought to Hong Kong by Swedish 3-Michelin star awarded chef Björn Frantzén. We loved the Nordic theme, welcoming ambiance, and varied menu of modern, European influenced fare. Our evening began with a selection of delectable “snacks” including juicy Boneless Chicken Wings with Kvibille Cheese, light and creamy Gougeres, and extremely flavourful Short Rib Croquettes with a Smoked Chili Emulsion. Their main dishes are ideal for sharing and we highly recommend the summer ready Sourdough Langos with Vendace Roe from Finland, the Sweet and Meaty Signature Roasted Scallops with Truffle and Beurre Noisette, the perfectly balanced Tartar “Lamb in Dill” with “Attika Vineagar”, and the melt in your mouth 24h Pork Cheeks Open Sandwich with Truffle Bechamel. Their desserts are equally impressive with the sweet and tart “Marangsviss” and buttery Swedish “Syltkakor” at the top of our list. Make sure to pair with their impressive wine selection and creative cocktails. A perfect group dining destination where you can feast on a variety from the menu or grab a table for two for a memorable date night. The intimate setting, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and elevated menu make this an extremely welcome addition to the Hong Kong dining scene.
