Old Bailey, located in artistic and stylish Tai Kwun, serves mouthwatering Jiangnan cuisine with a modern twist. Head Chef Wong Gwan Man, a Yangzhou native, has created a menu of authentic Jiangnan dishes with an emphasis on carefully selected produce and seasonal menu items. The Herzog & de Meuron-designed space is sleek and inviting with plenty of large tables for group dining or intimate corners for an ideal date night. Our mouthwatering meal commenced with refreshing marinated Japanese Yam accented with fragrant preserved plum, delicate Fresh Local Bean Curd Sheets with Sesame Oil, and tender Nanjing Slated Duck. Their delicious Xiaolongbao were served next. We loved the vibrant combinations of flavoures including indulgent Hairy Crab Roe & Iberico Pork, and “Mala” Spicy Iberico Pork Soup Dumplings. Main course highlights included the delightful Sauteed Garoupa with Preserved Mustard Greens, the juicy and aromatic Longjing Tea Smoked Pigeon, and the addictive Clams Hand-Pulled Noodles featuring just the right amount of chili. Make sure to check out the terrace featuring stunning city views and grab a cocktail at the cozy bar before or after your meal. If you are looking for authentic Chinese fare with a unique twist in a modern setting head to Old Bailey for a delicious feast.
