Feast on authentic Mexican fare in an intimate and ambient setting at Maxal located in the luxurious Hilton Cancun. Eat lunch at the Taqueria where you can sit poolside and indulge in the famous Al Pastor tacos, and book a cozy booth at the main restaurant for dinner and enjoy the vibrant and colourful decor. We loved trying many of our favourite Mexican dishes and discovering new specialities throughout our meal. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful introducing us to signature cocktails and their favourite options on the menu.

Highlights included the creamy and rich “Tuetano a la Parrilla” Grilled Bone Marrow with Corn Esquites, Tajin and Fresh Cotija Cheese, the refreshing “Camaron Aguachile” Prawns in Lime Juice with Habanero, Passion Fruit, Micro Sprouts, Cilantro and Pickled Red Onion and the insanely tender “Mole de Cafe Oxaqueno” Oaxacan Beef Tenderloin with Coffee and Black Chili Mole and Grilled Sweet Potato.

The kids couldn’t resist the cheesy quesadillas and everything tasted amazing washed down with a ice cold beer or margarita. A must dine spot while staying at Hilton Cancun and perfect for those wanting to sample Mexican fare on their beach holiday.
