Boasting spectacular aerial views of the Palacio Nacional and an ambient outdoor terrace, Balcón del Zócalo is a must visit dining destination in the historic area of Mexico City. We loved the stylish and welcoming space alongside their tempting menu of Mexican fine dining. The decadent degustation menu prepared by their talented chefs was a true highlight of our stay in the city and one of our top recommended spots for foodies visiting Mexico City. Each course was an elevated and unique rendition of the classic street taco fusing a plethora of flavours and textures to surprise and excite the diner.
We delved into delicate soft shell crab tacos, unique and fragrant Buttered Ant Egg Tacos, tender melt into your mouth Al Pastor Pork Belly Tacos, and an unforgettable Sonora Beef Tenderloin Tacos. Their Chocolate Amelia Cake was a perfect fusion of sweet and tart and their exquisite wine pairing introduced us to amazing regional and international wines. Each dish was beautifully handcrafted by the chefs and we even saw each tortilla being hand pressed by the team.
A perfect dining experience to taste and explore the mouthwatering flavours and ingredients of Mexico in an elevated and chic environment. Ideal for date nights, celebratory evenings, or just a memorable night in the vibrant city.
