Located in Alexandra House, Ami brings contemporary French fine dining to the HK restaurant scene. The stylish and sleek space features interiors inspired by organic forest life. You’ll find minimal modern interiors, natural accents, and a dark ambient mood. The bar, Wood Ear, is located adjacent to the main dining area creating the perfect vibe for sophisticated drinks and a whisky sampling session. The restaurant also boasts an inviting outdoor terrace ideal for parties and larger gatherings or just enjoying a glass of wine on a balmy summer evening.
We loved sampling the exquisite tasting menu created by talented Chef Nicolas Boutin who recently joined the Ami team as Executive Chef. His previous experience at Michelin Starred Epure ensures his incredible menu will one of the best in town. Highlights from our tasting menu included the vibrant Japanese Snow Crab in Heirloom Tomato, the fresh Green Asparagus with Basil and Pickled Apple, the decadent Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche, Lobster Royale and Oscietra Caviar, the delicate and fragrant Sweet Onion with Black Truffle, the rich and umami filled Homemade Pasta with Crustacean Sauce, Black Truffle and Thai Basil, and the insanely tender Japanese A4 Wagyu Beef Tenderloin with Spring Onion.
The refreshing Strawberry Dessert with Elderflower and Hibiscus was ideal for a summer menu and we loved the French cheese platter as a satisfying end to a delicious feast. Pair your meal with one of their beautifully presented cocktails or wine suggestions from their in house sommelier. Whether you’re in search for a relaxed and sophisticated evening at the bar or unforgettable French fine dining, Ami is sure to impress. One of our new favourite date night spots in Hong Kong.
