We loved sampling traditional Maldivian fare while staying at Fushifaru and were excited to hear they served a traditional Malaafai dining experience for guests. We booked for our delicious lunch to be served at our Duplex Beach Villa and thoroughly enjoyed the cultural experience as a family. We started with a traditional hand washing ceremony before the team presented the incredible feast. Brought to our villa on two bamboo sticks and unwrapped on our private terrace, we were presented with an array of curries, fresh fish, sambals, and delectable Maldivian recipes. The meal is great for those who enjoy spicy food and a true treat for families looking to integrate local traditions into their holiday. A memorable experience for us and our children.
