Dining at Namaste was one of the highlights of our stay at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, a celebration of authentic Indian flavors set against the serene beauty of the Maldivian lagoon. The open-air setting, with soft sea breezes and flickering lanterns, created the perfect atmosphere for a long, indulgent dinner under the stars.
We began with the Lasooni Murgh Tikka, tender chicken infused with garlic and spices, cooked to perfection in the tandoor. Each bite was smoky, juicy, and delicately layered with heat and flavor. The Achari Fish Tikka followed, marinated in tangy pickling spices that balanced beautifully with the freshness of the local catch. Both starters captured the bold, aromatic spirit of North Indian cuisine while feeling light and refined.
For our main course, the Goan Fish Curry stole the show. Rich and coconut-laden, with just the right touch of spice, it was comforting and vibrant. Paired with soft naan and fragrant basmati rice, it was utterly satisfying.
We ended with the Jamun Kas, a sweet note that blended tradition and indulgence. The deep purple gulab jamun, served warm, had that perfect balance of syrupy sweetness and soft texture.
Namaste offers an immersive dining experience that perfectly complements the relaxed elegance of Olhuveli. Beautifully plated dishes, attentive service, and an enchanting setting make it a must-visit for food lovers seeking spice and soul in the Maldives.
