Cassia Cottage is one of Phu Quoc’s most charming family friendly hideaways, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels worlds away from large resort crowds. Set along a beautiful stretch of beach and surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the property blends rustic island character with thoughtful comfort, making it an ideal choice for families looking to unwind and reconnect.
We stayed in two adjoining rooms, each with its own private balcony set among greenery and gently swaying palms. The design is simple, local, and full of character with wooden details, traditional touches, and calming earth tones that create an immediate sense of ease. Waking up to birdsong and ending each evening on the balcony felt wonderfully peaceful. The staff deserve special mention too. Warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, they made us feel at home from the first day.
The beachfront swimming pool is a true highlight for families. With sun loungers set right at the water’s edge, it’s easy to spend hours swimming, relaxing, and soaking up the views of the calm, turquoise sea. Kids can play in the shallow areas or head to the sandy beach for a round of beach volleyball, while parents unwind with a book or a cool drink. For quiet moments, the resort’s tranquil spa and open air yoga sala provide a chance to stretch, reset, and enjoy the soothing island atmosphere.
Dining at Cassia Cottage is another of its strengths. The Spice House offers relaxed all day dining with a menu of delicious local and international dishes. We especially loved the claypot caramel fish, fragrant beef pho, and the pizzas that quickly became a favourite with our kids. Down by the beach, The Malabar is perfect for casual lunches or sunset drinks. Their juicy burgers and freshly baked pizzas pair perfectly with sea views and the resort’s generous happy hour for in house guests.
Cassia Cottage combines rustic charm, genuine hospitality, and family friendly facilities in a setting that feels intimate and authentic. It’s a place where both parents and children can truly unwind a perfect island escape.
