Hyatt Regency Tokyo is a reassuringly elegant base, offering space, comfort and thoughtful facilities that make travelling with children feel effortless. Set in the calmer Nishi Shinjuku district yet moments from the action, the hotel strikes a balance between urban convenience and relaxed retreat.

We stayed in a newly renovated Corner Studio, and the difference was immediately apparent. The room was generous in size, with ample space for a family of four to spread out without ever feeling cramped. The design is modern and understated, with warm tones and soft lighting that make it easy to unwind after a busy day exploring Tokyo.

The bedroom was a highlight. The sumptuous main beds delivered deep, restful sleep, while the window side kids beds were a thoughtful touch that delighted our children. Waking up to natural light and clear views stretching across the city, with Mount Fuji visible on a clear morning, made those early starts feel special rather than rushed.

The bathroom felt positively decadent, featuring sleek finishes, a deep soaking tub and plenty of counter space. It was the kind of bathroom that encourages lingering, a welcome luxury when travelling with kids who inevitably need extra time to get ready.

Dining is another strong point of the hotel. Crossroads Kitchen, located within the property, offers a vibrant buffet experience centred around an open kitchen. With a wide range of well executed dishes and a relaxed atmosphere, it is ideal for families looking for variety without compromising on quality. It also makes dining easy on nights when heading back out feels like too much effort.

Location is where Hyatt Regency Tokyo truly shines. Shinjuku’s shopping, dining and entertainment districts are all close by, yet the hotel feels calm and removed from the crowds. The free shuttle service to Shinjuku Station is a major bonus, especially when travelling with children, strollers or shopping bags, removing the stress of navigating busy streets and train lines.

Comfortable, spacious and family friendly without feeling like a family only hotel, Hyatt Regency Tokyo is a dependable choice for travellers who want both convenience and breathing room in one of the city’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
