Dinner at La Palette Paris in Le Méridien Seoul Myeongdong felt less like a typical hotel buffet and more like an evening designed for lingering and indulgence. From the moment we settled into the refined, softly lit dining room, it was clear this was a buffet that prioritised quality and calm over excess.

The seafood selection immediately drew us in. Chilled crab legs were sweet and satisfying, while the Korean marinated shrimp delivered that addictive balance of briny, garlicky and gently spicy flavours. One of the highlights was the seared salmon tataki, lightly torched on the outside and silky within, offering freshness and finesse in every bite. A particularly generous touch came when half a lobster tail was served directly to the table for each guest, warm and tender, adding a sense of occasion that buffets rarely achieve.

Korean dishes were handled with confidence and restraint, from carefully prepared banchan to comforting hot items that tasted familiar yet polished. The grill station impressed with juicy sirloin, tenderloin and richly flavoured short ribs, all cooked to order, while a moist roast turkey provided a comforting Western counterpoint.

What elevated the experience further was the availability of international wines by the glass, encouraging relaxed pairing rather than hurried eating. Combined with attentive service and an elegant setting, the evening felt unrushed and genuinely enjoyable.

La Palette Paris proves that a dinner buffet can feel personal, generous and refined, making it a memorable dining option in the heart of Seoul.
