Perfectly positioned in the heart of Sapporo, Wyndham Garden Sapporo Odori is an excellent choice for families looking for comfort, convenience, and great value. Visiting as a family of four, we found it to be an ideal base for exploring the city, with everything you need just steps away.
The location is one of its biggest strengths. The hotel sits within easy walking distance of lively shopping streets, including Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, and local dining spots, making it effortless to explore Sapporo’s vibrant food scene. From casual ramen shops to late-night eateries and cafés, there is no shortage of options nearby, along with plenty of shopping for everything from souvenirs to fashion.
The hotel itself strikes a great balance between affordability and comfort. Our corner room was particularly well suited for families, offering generous space, large windows that let in plenty of natural light, and even a dining table that made in-room meals easy and relaxed. The room comfortably slept four, which is not always easy to find in Japan at this price point.
A thoughtful touch that really stood out was the unlimited complimentary soft serve ice cream and coffee available throughout the day. It was a simple but much appreciated perk, especially for kids after a day of exploring.
Downstairs, NY Pizza and Wings by Phoenix is a great casual dining option for evenings when you don’t want to venture far, serving up satisfying New York style pizzas and comfort food.
Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere complete the experience. For families wanting a well located, comfortable, and affordable stay in Sapporo, Wyndham Garden Odori is a fantastic choice.
