The Lounge at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono quickly became a favourite during our stay. It is relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely easy to enjoy as a family. With its cozy fireplace, soft live music in the evenings, and floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the snowy slopes, it is the kind of place you naturally settle into after a day in the cold.

We started our mornings here, and the breakfast buffet is genuinely impressive. There is a huge range, from Japanese dishes to Western classics, and even Chinese options all beautifully executed and clearly focused on quality Hokkaido ingredients.

Dinner was the real highlight for us. The semi-buffet format is sure to please any foodie. We loved the appetizer buffet with generous platters of charcuterie, silky smoked salmon, fresh sashimi, vibrant salads, and a kid friendly corner to suit young palates. Everything felt fresh, colourful, and a step above the usual hotel offering.

For mains, our children loved the Japanese unagi donburi, and the roast of the day, lamb when we visited, was perfectly cooked and comforting after a long day outdoors. We also shared the grilled mixed seafood platter, featuring excellent local seafood including crab, octopus, salmon, and prawns. It was rich, indulgent, and paired deliciously with their well curated wine list.

Make sure to leave room for dessert. The selection that could rival a French patisserie, both in presentation and flavour. Service truly completed our memorable dinner ensuring our family had an evening to remember.
