Mott 32 Bangkok delivered one of our favourite dining experiences in the city, combining dramatic interiors, exceptional Cantonese cuisine, and an atmosphere that feels both glamorous and effortlessly vibrant. Already well known internationally, the Bangkok location lives up to the reputation, bringing the same elevated dining experience while still feeling unique to the city itself.
The restaurant is stunning from the moment you arrive, with moody lighting, rich textures, elegant Chinese design elements, and a lively energy that makes the entire experience feel special. We especially loved starting the evening with cocktails, which were beautifully presented and expertly balanced, setting the tone for a memorable dinner.
We began with a selection of dim sum, each piece delicate, refined, and beautifully executed. The quality and precision were immediately noticeable, with thin wrappers, generous fillings, and elegant flavours throughout. The double boiled bamboo pith mushroom soup was another standout, deeply comforting yet incredibly light and clean, showcasing the restaurant’s ability to create dishes that feel both luxurious and nourishing at the same time.
For mains, the yeung chow style fried rice was everything you want from a classic Cantonese favourite, fragrant, perfectly seasoned, and packed with texture and flavour without ever feeling heavy. The sweet and sour pork was equally impressive, featuring beautifully crisp pieces coated in a glossy sauce that balanced sweetness and acidity perfectly while still allowing the quality of the pork to shine through.
Combined with warm, polished service, Mott 32 Bangkok is a restaurant we would happily return to again and again. Sophisticated yet approachable, it delivers the perfect blend of atmosphere and world class Cantonese cuisine.
