The menu showcases beautifully executed Japanese dishes with premium ingredients and thoughtful presentation throughout. We started with the hamachi sashimi, which was incredibly fresh, delicate, and buttery with clean flavours that immediately set the tone for the evening. Another standout was the restaurant’s signature Thai Spider Roll, a creative fusion roll balancing crispy soft shell crab with bold Thai inspired flavours that made it both playful and memorable.
One of the highlights of our meal was the seasonal firefly squid salad, a beautifully balanced dish that combined tender squid with fresh textures and vibrant Japanese flavours. The snow fish hobayaki was another exceptional course, perfectly cooked with rich buttery flesh and subtle smokiness that melted effortlessly with every bite.
For mains, the Australian tenderloin MB5 was outstanding. Expertly cooked, beautifully tender, and deeply flavourful, it brought a luxurious finish to the savoury courses and paired perfectly with the restaurant’s excellent wine and sake selections.
Dessert was equally impressive. The Hokkaido milk and white chocolate mousse topped with matcha powder was light, silky, and perfectly balanced between sweetness and earthy bitterness, providing a refined ending to the meal.
Combined with polished service, stunning surroundings, and a menu that balances creativity with authenticity, Namu delivers one of the most stylish and memorable dining experiences on Koh Samui.
