Tucked away on a quiet stretch of Koh Samui’s coastline, Tolani Resort was exactly the kind of peaceful family escape we were hoping for. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt calm, private, and beautifully secluded, a welcome contrast to some of the busier areas of the island. The beachfront location is stunning, with soft sand, gentle water, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to completely switch off.
As a family, we especially loved staying in one of the private pool villas. The spacious two bedroom layout gave us plenty of room to spread out comfortably while still feeling connected as a family. The villa itself was beautifully designed with a modern tropical feel, and having our own private pool made the stay feel extra special. It quickly became our favourite place to unwind after a day in the sun.
One of the highlights of the resort was the enormous main swimming pool overlooking the beach. Our kids spent hours swimming while we relaxed poolside enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The resort also offers stand up paddle boarding, which was such a fun activity to do together as a family on the calm ocean waters.
For wellness lovers, Tolani really delivers. The gym is well equipped, and we loved the addition of the hot and cold plunge pools as well as the sauna facilities. It added a luxurious wellness element to the stay that made it feel both relaxing and rejuvenating at the same time.
The service throughout the resort was warm, genuine, and attentive without ever feeling over the top. Every staff member made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the dining experiences at the resort. Lunches by the pool became part of our daily routine, with fresh tropical drinks, light meals, and beautiful ocean views making the perfect midday break. In the evenings, dinner at KOA Dining was a standout. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxed, with delicious food and thoughtful presentation that made every dinner feel special.
