One of the biggest luxuries of staying at The Layar is the excellent in-villa dining, which allowed us to enjoy restaurant-quality meals without ever leaving our private villa. Breakfast was served daily at our preferred time each morning, beautifully arranged on our dining table and ready to enjoy beside the pool. The menu offers plenty of variety, from Indonesian favourites such as nasi goreng and mie goreng to Western options including breakfast burritos and avocado on toast.

We also found ourselves ordering lunch in the villa on several occasions. The wood-fired pizzas were a particular favourite with our children, while we enjoyed dishes such as chicken Milanese and grilled chilli prawns. The menu balances Indonesian and international flavours well, making it easy to satisfy everyone in the family. Combined with attentive service and thoughtful presentation, in-villa dining at The Layar became one of the highlights of our stay, especially on those relaxed days spent enjoying our private pool.
