We visited for a leisurely lunch and immediately fell in love with the alfresco setting. The open-air terrace makes the most of AYANA’s dramatic cliffside location, with uninterrupted ocean views and cooling sea breezes providing the perfect backdrop for a long, unhurried meal. It felt like the ideal spot for a date lunch, allowing us to slow down and enjoy both the food and the scenery.
We began with the Arancini, featuring crisp golden risotto balls with a deliciously creamy centre. It was a comforting and satisfying start that showcased the kitchen’s attention to classic Italian flavours.
For our pasta course, we chose the Homemade Linguini with Beef Ragout. The freshly made pasta had excellent texture and was coated in a rich, slow-cooked ragout that delivered deep, savoury flavours in every bite. It was the kind of dish that feels both hearty and refined at the same time.
Our main course was the Barramundi served with a Mediterranean-style tomato sauce. Perfectly cooked and wonderfully fresh, the fish paired beautifully with the bright, vibrant flavours of the sauce. The combination felt light enough for a tropical lunch while still being satisfying and full of flavour.
Combined with warm, attentive service and AYANA’s spectacular cliffside views, Sami Sami offers a memorable dining experience that transports guests straight to the Mediterranean while embracing the natural beauty of Bali.
