We found ourselves returning more than once during our stay, enjoying long afternoons by the beach before staying on to watch the sunset over dinner. The menu focuses on fresh, vibrant dishes that perfectly suit the beachfront setting. We started with the quinoa salad, a colourful combination of crisp vegetables and wholesome grains that felt light and refreshing in the tropical heat. The gambas al ajillo followed, with plump prawns gently cooked in fragrant garlic and olive oil, served with warm bread that was perfect for soaking up every last drop of the sauce.

For our main course, the grilled strip loin was cooked exactly as requested, with a beautifully charred exterior and tender, juicy centre that showcased the quality of the beef. To accompany dinner, we enjoyed a selection of expertly crafted cocktails, ideal for sipping as the sky transformed into shades of orange, pink and purple over the Indian Ocean.

With its welcoming service, relaxed beach club atmosphere and spectacular sunset setting, Uma Beach House is far more than somewhere to enjoy lunch by the pool. It is a destination in its own right, equally suited to lazy beach days, sunset cocktails or an unhurried dinner by the sea, and one of the highlights of staying at Umana Bali.
