Perched high above the dramatic limestone cliffs of Uluwatu, Alila Villas Uluwatu is one of Bali’s most striking luxury resorts. During our stay, we checked into a One Bedroom Pool Villa, which quickly became our private sanctuary. The villa perfectly captures Alila’s signature minimalist aesthetic, balancing warm natural materials with elegant modern design. Floor to ceiling glass fills the space with natural light, while the expansive outdoor terrace, private pool, and shaded cabana invite long afternoons spent simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Despite the villa’s luxurious scale, it still feels wonderfully intimate and incredibly relaxing.

One of the highlights of the resort is its spectacular cliff edge infinity pool, where uninterrupted ocean views create one of the most beautiful swimming spots in Uluwatu. We also loved spending time in the serene spa, where locally inspired wellness rituals provide the perfect opportunity to unwind, while the well equipped fitness centre makes it easy to maintain a routine even while on holiday.

Dining is another standout. Breakfast at CIRE is served in a refined alfresco setting overlooking the ocean, with an extensive à la carte menu featuring beautifully crafted Balinese and Western dishes, fresh pastries, specialty coffees, and vibrant juices. For dinner, The Warung celebrates Indonesia’s rich culinary heritage through elevated regional recipes prepared with exceptional local ingredients, all served with warm, attentive hospitality.

Complementing every part of the experience is the outstanding service. The team consistently delivered genuine warmth, thoughtful attention to detail, and an effortless level of hospitality that made us feel completely at home throughout our stay.
